"Healthcare workers are the beating heart of the system" Justyna Tymińska, M.D., a lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine at Lazarski University heard at the conference in Lille. The event aimed to contribute to long-term work on building the so-called European Health Union and to share knowledge and good practices in the implementation of international activities in medical and paramedical studies. Many important figures took part in the discussion panels, including the French Minister of Higher Education and Scientific Research, who suggested introducing a requirement to study abroad for 1 year to the medical studies program.
In addition, attention was also drawn to the fact that increasing the number of medical personnel will not solve the problems in health care. It is important to skillfully use the resources we currently have. This is an interesting voice in the context of, for example, the discussion on the number of doctors in Poland.
Only 2-3 people from a given country participate in international TCA trainings. We are glad that Poland and Lazarski University were represented by Justyna Tymińska, M.D., who conducted meetings with representatives of French, Belgian, Cypriot, Czech, Romanian and Danish universities.
