  • Rector Prof. Dr. Krystyna Iglicka-Okólska is elected to the Chapter of the Gold Fans competition.
  • Prorector Jerzy Stępień is awarded the nFoundation of the Republic award named after Mr. Michał Klesza for his achievements in strengthening local self-government in Poland.
  • Prof. nadzw. Aleksandra Laskowska-Rutkowska, PhD, becomes a member of the KProgram Committee of the XII International Logistics and Supply Chain Congress "Supply Chains of the Future" in Istanbul. In addition, he speaks there with the paper: "Innovation Diffusion in the Supply Chain" .
  • Dr. Magdalena Rycak, Associate Dean of the Faculty of Law and Administration, is appointed by the President of the Council of Europe as Deputy Judge of the Administrative Court at the Council of Europe until March 31, 2015.
  • Dr. hab. Przemysław Szustakiewicz, lecturer at the Faculty of Law and Administration, is appointed as a member of the commission conducting the qualification proceedings for members of the National Board of Appeals operating at the President of the Public Procurement Office.
  • Mieczyslaw Blonski, PhD, dean of the Faculty of Law and Administration, becomes wvice president of the Board of Directors of the Polish Association of Private Employers in Education.
  • Monica Stachowiak-Kudła, PhD gives a paper: "Financial regulations and the diversification of funding sources in Higher education institutions: Selected European experiences" at the 31st Conference of the European Association of Law and Economics - EALE.
  • Margaret Galazka-Sobotka, PhD, director of the Center for Postgraduate Education, is nominated in the "Women of Medicine 2014" poll.
  • Evelina Milan, MSc, assistant in the Department of Civil Law and Procedure at WPIA, receives the Bronze Cross of Merit for meritorious activity in the development of science awarded by the Minister of Education and Higher Education. It also takes second place in the "Entrepreneurial School of Tomorrow" competition in the Labor Market category. The competition is organized by Mana Game.
  • Msc. Pawel Blajer, lecturer at the Faculty of Law and Administration, is nominated for the Student Journalism Awards MediaTory 2014 in the Initiator category and for the Grand Press Economy 2014 award.
  • Juliusz Madej, president of Lazarski University, is ranked 1st in the +55 category at the International Polish Senior Championships in doubles tennis. In addition, in singles play, she wins 3rd place on the podium.

Achievements of our students and graduates

  • Marta Bany, a graduate of the Faculty of Law and Administration, receives an honorable mention in the competition for the best thesis organized by the Association of Economic Experts.
  • Daryna Brazhnyk, a third-year graduate in Economics and Management, takes second place in the thesis contest organized by: Center For Economic Research & Graduate Education - Economics Institute (Cerge-EI) - one of the best economics universities in Europe.
  • Mayia Samuilik, a graduate of the Faculty of Economics and Management, takes 4. place in the international competition for the best thesis in the world organized by the International Economic Atlantic Society.
  • Carolina Sochacka, a student at the Faculty of Law and Administration, receives a diploma from the Academy of Young Diplomats at the European Academy of Diplomacy.
  • Katarzyna Anna Przybyla, a graduate of the Faculty of Economics and Management, receives the prestigious Fulbright Scholarship - Fulbright Graduate Student Award, thanks to which she begins her studies in the United States.
  • Michal Rostek, an international relations student, model, dancer and choreographer represents Poland at the MR WORLD 2014 competition.
  • Jianis Ihnatok, a second-year international relations student, wins a gold medal at the International Sambo Tournament in Berlin. Sambo is a Russian martial art that is a combination of judo and regional varieties of wrestling from the former USSR.
  • Lukasz Kielbasinski receives a silver medal at the European Youth Judo Championships in Wroclaw, Poland.
  • Tomasz Rudko and Michal Wojtynski take 5th place in the World 3x3 Basketball Championships in Moscow.
