Center for Accessibility Support and Development is a dedicated unit of Lazarski University that provides support to individuals with special needs, including students and staff with disabilities.
The mission of our Center is to remove barriers to education and to create a friendly, fully accessible, and inclusive environment that fosters the integration of the entire academic community.
As a team, we believe that health issues or other difficulties should not prevent anyone from obtaining an education. Therefore, we provide individualized forms of support, adapt the learning process to reported needs, and make available infrastructure that facilitates studying and everyday functioning on campus.

1. Adaptation of the Learning Process
At Lazarski University, it is possible to adapt the form of exams and course assessments in accordance with the provisions of the Study Regulations.
Students may use teaching materials available from both university resources and the Academic Digital Library, prepared in special formats tailored to the needs of persons with disabilities.
2. Educational Assistant Support
An assistant may accompany a student during classes, help with moving around the campus, or provide support in preparing for exams. This role may be fulfilled by a classmate, another Lazarski University student, or a family member.
Our Center also employs dedicated staff: a Teaching Assistant and an Assistant for Persons with Disabilities.
3. Assistive Learning Equipment
We provide access to:
- portable induction loops,
- magnifiers,
- laptops with software for visually impaired persons,
- other specialized devices needed in the learning process.
4. Accessible Infrastructure
Our campus is designed with accessibility in mind. It includes: step-free entrances, appropriately wide corridors and doors, elevators, and restrooms adapted to the needs of persons with disabilities (including wheelchair users), as well as designated parking spaces.
We continuously work to eliminate barriers, ensuring the University is a comfortable and safe place for the entire community.
5. Awareness Training
We conduct training sessions and other activities to increase awareness among teaching and administrative staff regarding accessibility and inclusion, ensuring our campus is open and welcoming to everyone.
