What is the ESG Academy?
- The ESG Academy is an initiative aimed at students in law, journalism and political science, marketing, economics, finance and accounting and related fields of study who want to explore ESG and see how these issues translate into legal and business practice.
What does participation in the Academy include?
- Cyclical meetings at Bird & Bird in the 2024/2025 academic year twice a month (which makes up a series of 16 content-focused meetings),
- Inspiring classes in the form of lectures and case studies - experienced experts will share their knowledge on ESG, its impact on the legal and business environment, and discuss challenges and trends in implementing sustainability strategies,
- Participation in discussions, panels and workshops,
- Networking opportunities,
- Bird & Bird ESG (Academy completion certificates for students who attend at least 14 substantive meetings and write a written final paper.
When will classes?
- Classes will be held in a class and hybrid format every first and third Tuesday of the month from 6pm to 7pm.
The first class - a familiarisation meeting - will be held on 29 October 2024.
