1. Authors should provide their ORCID identifiers; if they do not have one, they should generate it and place it under their name on the first page of the chapter authored by them.
2. Text formatting:
text file in *doc or *docx format;
A4 page size;
margins (all) – 2.5 cm;
paragraph settings (spacing before/after – 0, line spacing – 1.5) – uniform throughout the entire book; the same line spacing should be used between all lines, paragraphs, and between lists and text (no additional spacing should be introduced);
font type: one of the following (used consistently throughout the entire book) – Times New Roman, Aptos, Calibri;
font size – uniform throughout the entire book.
3. All paragraphs should begin with a first-line indent (using the Tab key).
4. Titles of chapters and subchapters should be written in sentence case (e.g. References), not in all capitals (i.e. REFERENCES).
5. No bold type should be used in the body text. Bold type may be used only for chapter and subchapter titles.
6. All figures, diagrams, and charts should have captions (placed directly below them):
the words „figure”, „chart”, or “diagram” in captions should be written in full, capitalized, and followed by a number (e.g. Figure 1. Title of the figure);
no period should be placed at the end of the caption;
abbreviations such as „fig.”, „chart”, or „diag.” (with the appropriate number) may be used only in the text and only when the relevant figure, chart, etc. is referenced;
illustrations intended for publication must be of high quality, with a consistent format and labeling;
each illustration should additionally be provided as a separate file (photographs and drawings – *jpg files with a minimum resolution of 300 dpi; if charts are to be edited during the editorial process, they should be supplied in Adobe Illustrator, CorelDraw, or Microsoft Excel files).
7. Tables should have titles (placed directly above the table):
the word „table” in the table title should be written in full, capitalized, and followed by a number (e.g. Table 1. Table title);
the abbreviation „tab.” (with the appropriate number) may be used only in the text and only when the table is referenced;
all tables should be editable.
8. Table titles and captions for figures, charts, and diagrams should be placed directly in the text as editable elements, not embedded within the figure or table.
9. Below the caption of a figure or chart and directly below a table, the following should be included: Source: … with a full bibliographic description of the source, as in the reference list (see point 14 below).
10. Tables as well as figures, photographs, and diagrams should be numbered, and their numbering must be continuous within a given chapter (separate numbering for figures, separate for charts, and separate for tables).
11. Abbreviations must be used consistently throughout the chapter/book; they should be introduced (at first use) by the full term followed by the abbreviation in parentheses, which will then be used in the remainder of the chapter/book.
12. Quotations in the text should be set in roman type (i.e. not italics) and enclosed in quotation marks.
13. The Vancouver style is preferred for references and bibliographies in medical publications.
14. References and bibliography:
reference formatting should be consistent throughout the entire monograph (footnotes, 10-point font, single line spacing);
in the text, immediately after a phrase based on a source, references should be given in square brackets (i.e. the source number in Arabic numerals), e.g. The implementation of appropriate therapeutic strategies may significantly affect treatment effectiveness and substantially improve patients’ quality of life [1].
reference numbers should be assigned in the order in which sources are first cited in the text;
in the case of multiple sources, reference numbers should be separated by commas and spaces, or a hyphen should be used to indicate a range of references, e.g. The implementation of appropriate therapeutic strategies may significantly affect treatment effectiveness and substantially improve patients’ quality of life [1, 2, 3–6].
full bibliographic details of sources indicated in the text by numerical references should be placed below the chapter/article text in the order of citation (starting from the first);
initials of authors’/scientific editors’ given names should not be followed by periods;
if necessary, the edition number should be placed directly after the book title;
correct formatting of bibliographic references:

Statements in the first person singular and plural should be replaced with impersonal forms or objective constructions. The use of formulations such as “an analysis was conducted”, “a relationship was observed” is recommended instead of “I analyzed” or “we observed.”
