The circle is engaged in discussions on international relations in the broadest sense, participation in thematic conferences, publications on scientific issues in the field of international relations.
Main objectives of KNMD
- Development and deepening of knowledge related to the broadly understood international relations issues among students of all majors, studying at Lazarski University.
- Organize and participate in seminars, conferences, debates, screenings/presentations, forums covering issues related to international relations.
- Establishing cooperation with organizations and academic centers dealing with similar topics.
- Organizing meetings with guests from the world of science, diplomacy and politics.
- Fostering the development of scientific work, creative, free exchange of scientific views, awakening scientific interests among students.
- Aiming to create optimal conditions for outstanding students to develop their interests, gain higher qualifications and experience.
- Scientific cooperation within the Department of International Political Relations.
- Promote Lazarski University in the country and abroad.
Planned activities
- Meetings of the Scientific Circle of Young Diplomats will be held once a week on the MS Teams platform. At these meetings, current organizational matters will be discussed and papers will be delivered on predetermined topics. After listening to them, a discussion will be held.
- Organize a Student Political Forum open also to people outside the Circle, where discussions related to the topics of the meeting will be held.
- Organize its own scientific conference - May 2021.
- Increase the visibility of the KNMD, by creating a website, preparing spots promoting the Circle, as well as creating occasional spots related to the activities of the KNMD.
- Active participation in meetings of the Department of Political Relations.
- Assisting in the organization of scientific conferences held at Lazarski University.
- Formalizing the structure by creating bylaws of the KNMD.
- Preparing thematic columns by members of the Circle.
- Collaborating with the media.
- Organizing a meeting with a representative of the world of diplomacy.
- Visit to a diplomatic post in Warsaw.
External initiatives of the Circle
- Active and passive participation in non-academic scientific conferences.
Scientific publications by members of the Circle
- The Scientific Circle of Young Diplomats will actively work for the publication of scientific papers in the university's scientific quarterly.
