We are pleased to announce that the Faculty of Medicine at Lazarski University has become a partner in the prestigious international educational program Blended Intensive Program (BIP)
“Cancer and Exercise: An Interprofessional Approach to Active Learning”.
The project is carried out in cooperation with Universidad Europea de Madrid under the Erasmus+ program.
Project objectives
This initiative focuses on an interdisciplinary approach to the role of physical activity in oncology care. Participants will expand their knowledge in the areas of:
- cancer pathophysiology,
- the physical and psychological effects of exercise on patients,
- interdisciplinary teamwork and communication,
- clinical application and cultural aspects of cancer care.
The program consists of online sessions as well as intensive workshops and clinical simulations to be held in Madrid. Students will collaborate in international teams from faculties of medicine, nursing, physiotherapy, and sports sciences.
Lazarski University will be represented by 5 medical students.
Through this project, our students will gain unique practical experience by working on clinical cases (including breast cancer and leukemia), participating in simulations, on-campus activities, and visits to oncology centers and exercise facilities in Madrid.
