How to teach English for medical purposes? We are inviting teachers to a workshop
On Friday, 22 November, Dr Urszula Swoboda-Rydz will run a workshop for the teachers of English for medical purposes. The meeting is scheduled to take place from 2.30 pm till 4.00 pm in room no. 12.
Dr Urszula Swoboda-Rydz teaches English for medical purposes at the Medical University of Warsaw and Lazarski University and has published many foreign language teaching materials.
The workshop will cover the following issues:
<ul><li>teaching medical terminology,</li><li>reading comprehension (literal, between lines, beyond a text),</li><li>writing and editorial traps,</li><li>philologist’s role in teaching a foreign language for medical purposes.</li></ul>
The workshop will be conducted in English.
