TOLES is a prestigious exam that verifies your knowledge of general and legal English. With TOLES certificates, you have in your hand a document recognised by the world's major legal firms and a proof of qualifications useful in following a career in law.
TOLES exams give you a chance to improve your language skills, ranging from learning basic terminology to reading and drafting specialised documents.
The Foreign Language Centre is a TOLES examination centre and the organiser of preparatory courses.
TOLES is offered at three levels:
- TOLES Foundation (A2-B1)
- TOLES Higher (B1-B2); TOLES Higher exempts from the final exam ending the English course.
- TOLES Advanced (B2-C2)
New form of the TOLES exam from 2022!
New - TOLES Exams from 2022 will only be ONLINE. To make the exam more user-friendly on the internet platform some types of the exercises will change.

Registration for 2024 has started!!!
Registration for the TOLES Legal exam, scheduled for May 23, 2024, will be open from April 1 to April 21, 2024. The exam will be conducted at three levels: Foundation, Higher and Advanced. Send your application to the address jezyki.obce@lazarski.edu.pl. Don't forget to provide the following details:
- first name and last name
- album number (only for Lazarski students)
- e-mail address (the address will be forwarded to TOLES Legal and will be used for communication regarding the exam)
- exam level
In response to the application, you will receive an account number to which you should transfer the fee for the exam by April 21 and send a confirmation of payment.

In the weeks leading up to the exam, you will receive a message from SYNAP asking you to create an account and conduct a brief system requirements check and learn how SYNAP works.
About one week before the exam, you will receive an e-mail from exams@proctorexams.com (if the e-mail does not appear, check the SPAM folder), in which you will receive a link to download The ProctorExam plugin and a link to perform a system check. After completing the first two steps, you will receive a Ready To Take the Exam Email.
On the day of the exam, prepare your ID, then open the READY TO TAKE THE EXAM message and click on the link found there (step 2) to start the test.
