In accordance with Article 13 Regulation (EU) 2016/679 of the European Parliament and of the Council of 27 April 2016 on the protection of natural persons with regard to the processing of personal data and on the free movement of such data, and repealing Directive 95/46/EC (General Data Protection Regulation - GDPR, OJ L No. 119 of 2016), be informed that:
- Lazarski University based in Warsaw, postcode 02-662, Świeradowska 43, is the Controller of your personal data.
- The Controller has designated a data protection officer, who can be contacted at iod@lazarski.edu.pl.
- Your personal data will be processed in order to carry out the proceeding initiated at your request to transfer you from another university, to recognise credits for the same subjects, to confirm your professional achievements, to fulfil legal obligations to which the Controller is subject pursuant to Article 6 par. 1(c) GDPR, Act on higher education and science of 20 July 2018, Resolution of the Senate No. 3/2026 of 26 March 2026 amending Senate Resolution No. 47/2025 of 30 June 2025 on the "Conditions, mode and terms of beginning and closing admissions, including the electronic admissions, to the fields of studies: law, administration, economics, finance and accounting, management, international relations, law in business, law in international relations and business, business analytics, finance, finance, BA in Economics, MA in Economics at Lazarski University in the academic year 2026/2027", to perform a task carried out in the public interest by means of determining the conditions, mode and terms of starting and closing admissions pursuant to Act of higher education and science of 20 July 2018, and Article 6 par. 1(e) GDPR.
- Data may also be processed on the basis of Article 6 par. 1(f) GDPR for the purpose of establishing, pursuing or defending claims.
- Your personal data will be retained by the Controller for the period necessary to deal with the application for a transfer from another university, recognise credits for the same subjects, confirm professional achievements and where the application is accepted, for the period necessary for the completion of the process of studies, and for the period indicated in commonly binding regulations, including archival regulations, and for the period necessary to establish, pursue or defend claims.
- Your personal data shall be made available to public authorities, state institutions and other entities authorised pursuant to the provisions of law. Personal data may be transferred to the entities that operate the Controller's IT systems and provide ICT tools or cloud, postal, and hosting services.
- Your personal data shall not be subject to automate processing and profiling.
- You shall have the right to demand that the Controller give you access to your personal data, the right to rectification, and the right to erasure or restriction of processing.
- You shall have the right to object to processing of personal data.
- You shall have the right to complain to a supervising authority: the President of the Personal Data Protection Office.
- The provision of your personal data is necessary for the purpose of dealing with your application. The provision of personal data to the extent specified in Act on higher education and science is obligatory. Failure to provide personal data shall preclude the beginning of the process of recognising credits for the same subjects, confirming your professional achievements and your transfer from another university.
- Your personal data shall not be made available to third countries or international organisations unless the Controller's legal obligations require that.
