As part of the new publishing series “In Via Scientiae” – dedicated to young authors at the beginning of their academic careers who wish to develop their scholarly output, share research findings, and gain experience in the publication proces – the Lazarski University Publishing House has released an open-access, peer-reviewed monograph entitled “Praca zdalna w przedsiębiorstwie call center i jego adaptacyjność w warunkach pandemii COVID-19” (Remote Work in a Call Center Enterprise and Its Adaptability in the Context of the COVID-19 Pandemic) by Andżelika Pasierowska (Faculty of Economics and Management, Lazarski University).
The monograph is devoted to a case study in the field of management and quality sciences, incorporating interdisciplinary elements. The author conducts an in-depth analysis of an issue relevant to many small and medium-sized enterprises that faced similar challenges during the COVID-19 pandemic.
The study focuses on the functioning of a call center enterprise under remote work conditions and its adaptive capacity in the context of a rapidly changing crisis environment. Particular emphasis is placed on the role of storytelling in remote organizational settings and in building relationships with customers. The publication includes an assessment of the effectiveness of remote work as well as recommendations for further development, making it a significant contribution to the discussion on the transformation of work models. The research is based on a diverse body of empirical material, including narrative interviews conducted with representatives of the analyzed enterprise.
