Erasmus+ Training and Cooperation Activities (TCA) are initiatives that organize events, seminars, and workshops enabling Erasmus+ program beneficiaries and National Agencies operating in program countries to carry out activities aimed at achieving better project quality, developing improved program outcomes, and facilitating the establishment of new strategic partnerships. The National Agencies of each Erasmus+ Program country recommend candidates, and the organizer makes the final selection based on the application form. Only 2-3 people from a given country participate in the international TCA trainings.
Lazarski University has been participating in TCA for several years, allowing its staff to deepen their knowledge and acquire new competencies. Our staff had the opportunity to participate in the following events:
- Spreading innovative results from European University Alliances to other higher education institutions - The training took place from May 3 to 5, 2023, in Bergen, Norway. It was attended by 140 people from higher education institutions in 19 countries, as well as from National Erasmus+ Agencies, the student organization ESN, and the European Commission. The conference included representatives of all alliances under the European Universities initiative (e.g., RUN-EU, ENGAGE.EU, FORTHEM, CHARM-EU, CIVICA, EPICUR, ARQUS, EUNI WELL, CIRCLE U, UNIC, EUNICE, EUGLOH, EDUC) as well as individuals representing universities that either intend to or deliberately will not participate in this initiative. During panel discussions and workshops, topics such as the idea of micro-credentials in higher education, which support the modularization and individualization of curricula, the creation of inter-university virtual campuses and Think Tanks, the engagement of various groups (students, business partners, NGOs, the public sector, local communities), and the concept of co-creation (publications, courses, supervision of theses) were discussed. The training was attended by Katarzyna Zielińska, Institutional Erasmus+ Coordinator.
- Data Protection and the Ethics of Data Collection in Erasmus+ Projects - The training took place from January 31 to February 2, 2024, in Bonn, Germany. The TCA event aimed to expand and disseminate knowledge on the applicable data protection regulations in projects, proper handling and implementation of existing data protection regulations, as well as the collection of appropriate data sources and the establishment of ethical guidelines. The event was attended by 80 people from EU countries, including Anna Dmoch, Erasmus+ Specialist;
- How to make the most of Erasmus+ to train tomorrow's health professionals? - The training will take place from October 21 to 24, 2024, in Lille, France. The event aims to contribute to the long-term work on building the so-called European Health Union. It will involve sharing knowledge and best practices in the implementation of international activities in medical and paramedical studies, as well as working on leveraging Erasmus+ program opportunities in terms of mobility (KA1) and cooperation (KA2) in medical studies. The training will be attended by 80 people from EU countries, including Dr. Justyna Tymińska, a lecturer at the Faculty of Medicine at Lazarski University.
TCA trainings are not only an opportunity to gain specialized knowledge in various fields but also a chance to build relationships and collaborate with partners from other European countries. We encourage everyone interested to follow the TCA course offerings and apply for upcoming events to fully harness the potential of international Erasmus+ mobilities.
