Karol Strzała, PhD

Director of the FinTech Master's Programme

PhD in Economics and Finance, Director of the FinTech Master's Programme at the Faculty of Economics and Management. He combines an academic career with running several companies across different industries — one of which has been recognised five times as a Forbes Diamonds laureate. His doctoral dissertation examined conceptual models for the implementation of Central Bank Digital Currencies in Poland. A graduate of Law at Lazarski University and of Finance and Accounting at the Warsaw School of Economics, and a full-scholarship awardee at Singapore Management University. 

He is currently finalising an Executive MBA with an ESG specialisation. He has been lecturing at Lazarski since 2015 in both Polish and English — Corporate and Business Law, blockchain, AML, Foundations of Finance, Foundations of Law and business simulations. 

He holds the ICA Anti-Money Laundering certificate (International Compliance Association).
