Will the Artificial Intelligence contribute to the decrease of unemployment?

Since the release of the famous Stanley Kubrick’s “Space Odyssey 2001” the humans inhabiting the planet Earth have been wondering whether the rise of AI would be their blessing or doom. According to some analysts, recent developments of AI might pose a serious threat to people’s livelihood as their work (including creative one) could no longer be needed. Is that really so…?
