Support for Lazarski University employees
The Center for Accessibility Support and Development (CWiRD) offers comprehensive support to Lazarski University employees, especially in terms of increasing the accessibility of education and adapting the academic environment to the needs of people with special needs, including those with disabilities.
What do we do?
Our aim is to support teaching, administrative and technical staff in creating a friendly, accessible and open university environment. We provide consultation, training and factual assistance in:
- ensuring digital accessibility of materials and documents,
- adapting teaching and organisational conditions for students with special needs,
- applying universal design principles and plain language,
- preparing accessible multimedia content (e.g. subtitling of videos, audiodescription),
- planning accessible events for all participants.
Training and educational material
We are planning training for all academic staff in:
- designing accessible documents and presentations,
- teaching in an accessible way to different audiences,
- principles of savoir-vivre in communication with people with disabilities.
We also provide educational materials and guides developed as part of the “Lazarski without barriers - your new opportunities” project, co-funded by the European Union.
Individual consultations
Employees are encouraged to take advantage of individual consultations to discuss specific situations related to ensuring accessibility.
Available working environment
We support employees with disabilities by offering:
- support for workstation adaptations,
- consultation on technological solutions to facilitate work,
- mediation in contacts with the University's technical and administrative departments.
