Programme description and objectives
The Economics double degrees programme is a unique opportunity for students seeking internationally recognized qualifications. By completing this course, you will earn two degrees – one from Lazarski University and one from our Westminster University. We use process-based learning – we train our students step by step, using real data, real business software, how to acquire data, read it, analyse it and how to arrive at and make decisions, not just produce more numbers.
We do not simulate what our graduates will do in business, we actually do it.
By choosing Economics you will:
- understand the principles of economics: you will better understand the economic relationships that exist in business and in the world;
- gain analytical skills: you will learn to interpret economic indicators, forecast market trends and make strategic decisions based on data;
- gain the ability to forecast and plan: you will learn to analyse the market situation and develop strategies for changing economic conditions;
- gain new career opportunities: having two degrees allows you to choose your career path more flexibly.
In 2025, Lazarski University organised an internal student competition with a special prize: a trip to New York, for the world-renowned Quinnipiac University Global Asset Management Education Forum. This was a chance for 3 students to:
- represent our university on a global stage,
- network with top finance professionals,
- gain real-world insights and boost future careers.
And get ready - we keep repeating this contest!

“There will be no lie, programme is hard, but it’s hard in a good way. Personally I think that a lot of subjects related with mathematic and a lot of different economics (macro, micro and so on) are useful in our field. Also the good thing is that we have a logical separation of hours of theoretical and practical classes, which allows you to understand a particular subject from both sides. Lecturers are open so if you have any troubles with subject or anything else, they will always come to the rescue. In my opinion all of this factors make this programme great. Of course session period is exhausting, but this is one of the true ways to learn something and have at least some immunity to the problems that await you in the future." - Sofiia, Economics student
“Since I have a strong interest in mathematics and economics, the programme itself is highly engaging. There are no irrelevant subjects - everything is focused and to the point."
“Personally, I really like the flexibility of the programme and its lectures who always ready to discuss any problems within the scope of the programme. Also, another thing that I want to emphasise is low amount of bureaucracy within the university in general in addressing any problems and reaching the administration as well as lectures for any purposes. To sum up, the economics double degrees provides great opportunities to understand the basics of economy in finance in general, and a strong base for further academical advances."
