“This year, we have modified the study program in such a way that it is as adapted in the most possible way to the dynamic changes in Polish legislation, simultaneously meeting the high standards of the legal market in Poland and internationally. We focused primarily on gaining practical competences. We have introduced classes related to the use of AI and teaching work methodologies in specific legal professions," says Anna Konert, PhD, prof. LU and Dean of the Faculty of Law and Administration.
Meeting the challenges of today in educating future lawyers requires constant observation and response to the changing legal and social environment. At Lazarski University, students receive help in shaping their future careers from the first year of study. In order to develop the concept of choosing a future professional path throughout their studies, classes on legal professions were introduced already in the second semester. Learning about the possibilities offered by completing law studies so early, motivates students to work diligently to achieve their goals. There are also organized regular meetings with representatives of local governments, legal professions and experienced lawyers from various sectors of the economy and public institutions. During such meetings, lawyers and legal advisors familiarize students with the craftsmanship of their professions, provide practical advice related to the application exams and present the apprenticeship process to students. Students are also inspired to make future career decisions by taking classes in various branches of law, to which practitioners specializing in related topics are invited. So far, the university has hosted the 15th edition of the Lazarski University Employer's Exchange, which was aimed at giving students and graduates a chance to find their first job or internship. During such events, employers answer questions related to the recruitment process and provide tips on writing a CV or cover letter. Students and graduates also have a career advisor at their disposal, who helps them individually in designing their professional image and creating a professional CV, as well as preparing them for a job interview.
The offer of Lazarski University is a precise response to the challenges of the modern world. It educates male and female students who can start practicing law immediately after graduating. The Faculty of Law and Administration of Lazarski University stands out from other universities with its interdisciplinary approach to education. Curricula are regularly updated to keep up with dynamic changes. They combine the canon of legal education with IT, artificial intelligence, technology, psychology and international aspects. In addition, professional ethics and social responsibility are promoted and soft skills such as communication, teamwork and stress management are developed.
The law study program was designed to gradually transfer knowledge, teach its practical use, and then aggregate the acquired skills and competences. Thanks to this, a law graduate is ready to practice as a lawyer and other professions in which the knowledge and skills acquired during studies are desirable and useful.
