Programme description

Data from Wolters Kluwer 2023 shows that 78% of lawyers, both from law firms and legal departments, expect increased demand for specialization in the industry. The trend of law firms to expand their offerings to include a range of specialized niche services is becoming more common and will increase.

Students majoring in Law in International Relations and Business learn about, among other things: international law, the EU, international trade law, political science and international relations. The skills acquired allow understanding the most important challenges of the modern world, by combining theoretical legal knowledge with practical skills used in diplomacy and business.

The classes are taught by recognized academics from Polish and foreign universities, experienced business practitioners, as well as current and former diplomats and political analysts.

In the course "Law in International Relations and Business" students have the opportunity:

expand their knowledge in the field of international and EU intellectual property law within the framework of PAN European SEAL's cooperation with EUIPO in Alicante and EPO in Munich - free access to online courses, events, possibility to apply for graduate internships,
activate in student groups and scientific circles - Lazarski Negotiation Club, Scientific Circle of Diplomatic and Consular Law,
work in organizing scientific and didactic events - conferences, seminars - domestic and foreign.

Studies at "Law in International Relations and Business" include two specialisations, chosen after the third semester of studies:

"Law in International Relations" allows development in the area of public international law, the law of diplomatic and consular relations and EU law,
"Law in International Business" allows to gain knowledge in international and EU economic law, as well as familiarizes with the current challenges of international business.

Programme Director

Lawyer, assistant professor in the Department of European Union Rights and Institutions at the Faculty of Political Science and International Studies of Lazarski University, long-time lecturer in EU law at the Faculty of Law and Administration of Lazarski University.

Scholarship holder of the French Government (2004-2005). Graduate of Centre Européen Universitaire, Université Nancy 2 (2005, diplomas DEA Droit Communautaire, DESE). She has lectured at Boston University, University of West London, Salzburg University, Carlo Cattaneo University (Italy), among others. Her research interests include legal aspects of EU citizenship, European and comparative constitutional law, legal issues of the functioning of the internal market, regulatory and ethical aspects concerning policies for the development of artificial intelligence in the EU.

Since 2023, she has served as Principal Investigator in the Horizon Europe-funded REALM project on applications of artificial intelligence in medical devices.

Doktor nauk prawnych, adiunkt na Uczelni Łazarskiego, adwokat zrzeszony w Izbie Adwokackiej w Madrycie, adwokat w Okręgowej Radzie Adwokackiej w Warszawie. Absolwentka Wydziału Prawa Uniwersytetu w Grenadzie (Hiszpania) oraz Wydziału Prawa i Administracji Uniwersytetu Warszawskiego, tłumacz przysięgły języka hiszpańskiego. W czasie studiów była na wymianie w ramach programu Erazmus na Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (Belgia) oraz ukończyła wakacyjny kurs prawa handlowego na Loyola University w Chicago. Odbyła staże w międzynarodowych kancelariach prawnych w Warszawie (Salans, Allen & Overy, White & Case) oraz w Stałym Przedstawicielstwie RP przy Unii Europejskiej i w Komisji Europejskiej. Posiada kilkuletnie doświadczenie pracy jako adwokat hiszpański w polskim oddziale renomowanej hiszpańskiej kancelarii Uría Menéndez. Autorka kilkudziesięciu artykułów i glos z zakresu polskiego i hiszpańskiego prawa karnego. Uczestnik międzynarodowych i krajowych konferencji prawa karnego. Włada 5 językami obcymi (hiszpański, angielski, portugalski, francuski, rosyjski).
