The annual Erasmus+ Staff Week at LU is underway. On June 17-21, 2024, we are hosting representatives of 15 foreign language teachers from KU Leuven, Paderborn University, Universidade Aberta, Utenos Kolegija, Law College Riga, University of Presov, Universita Politecnica delle Marche and University of Applied Sciences Kufstein Tirol. Our guests teach English, Dutch, German and Afrikaans.
The event program includes, among others: language for special purposes, gamification, Oxford-style debates, music, cooking or artificial intelligence in teaching foreign languages.
There will also be a stroll around the Powiśle Power Plant, Royal Baths, the Old Town and LU’s campus (visiting flight simulators, the medical simulation center, and the courtroom).
The event is an excellent opportunity to exchange experiences between representatives of universities from Poland, Portugal, Lithuania, Latvia, Belgium, Slovakia, Italy, Austria and Germany. It will also make the signing of new interinstitutional agreements possible.
The organizers of the Erasmus+ Staff Week for Language Teachers "How to combine passion with teaching languages" are LU’s Foreign Language Center (Director Agnieszka Sycińska together with Karolina Wierzbowska, Magda Mullen and language teachers e.g. Peter Gee, Tomasz Pracki) as well as LU’s Erasmus+ Team (Institutional Coordinator Katarzyna Zielińska together with Anna Dmoch).
