Insurance & Visa issues
Each student is obliged to insure himself before the mobility.
For the insurance, under the Erasmus+ Program rules the following areas must be covered:
In European Union countries the basic health insurance is guaranteed by the European Health Insurance Card issued by the National Health Fund (EHIC). Remember that the card covers only part of the services related to the treatment, but does not include consequences of accidents or civil liability. Detailed information can be found on the NFZ websites.
Some foreign universities require Erasmus + students to purchase compulsory insurance on site. To avoid double expenses, find out beforehand what formalities you will need to complete at the host university.
Do not forget about baggage insurance for the travel period.
If you need any help with visa issues please contact Student Help Desk Officer Mr. Łukasz Wieczorek at l.wieczorek@lazarski.edu.pl.
Consequences of UK's exit from Erasmus+
For those traveling to the UK after December 31, 2020, please be aware that you may need to meet certain departure requirements. Erasmus + participants traveling to the UK for study, traineeship / internship or voluntary work for any period will require a visa, but not for stays of less than 6 months. Participants should check that their visa is valid by going directly to the link. An additional healthcare fee may apply during the visa application process.
