Hatha Joga

Instructor:
mgr Hubert Suder

Yoga classes combine working on the body's endurance and flexibility with learning and practicing to relax and open up. Individual groups of positions (called asanas) affect selected parts of the muscles, the spine, joints, the physiological processes taking place in our body (e.g. digestion) and our mental state. Yoga is often treated as a health therapy (specific asanas are recommended for ailments), but also as a great way to maintain a healthy body and mind and prevent disease. There are different types of "yoga". As part of the classes, we offer hatha yoga guided by the B.K.S. Iyengar. Its specificity is the use of the so-called the aids (equipment) that enable the average person to perform the asanas correctly for the benefit of his health. Moreover, yoga according to this method pays great attention to the technique of performing asanas. It combines beauty and precision. An important element of the practice is the attitude of the yoga adept: concentration on "here and now", as well as firmness and persistence in exercises, combined with respect for your body. Practitioners acquire improvement of their physical condition and mental abilities as they exercise regularly. The next steps in yoga practice include breathing exercises (prana yama) and meditation.
