Earlier, in 2000-2007, as the Founder's proxy he was responsible for the University's growth, financial and administrative issues, and the expansion of the campus.
Participated in courses in university management at Harvard Kennedy School in 2009-2010 and at the Central European University in 2011.
Chairman of the Supervisory Board of Madej Sp. z o.o. since 2000; previously, CEO of the company in 1990-2000. Since 2008, member of the Supervisory Board of Suntech SA and of the Supervisory Board of Spółdzielnia Patio.
