Course description
The offer of the French Law School is addressed to students and graduates interested in French law (especially commercial law) and French legal language.
The primary goal of the School is to impart to its students practical information that will constitute a special asset on the labour market and let them take a professional part in rendering services for Polish and French businesses maintaining commercial relations and pursuing business operations in Poland and France.
The French Law School is organised by Lazarski University Faculty of Law and Administration in collaboration with Université Lumière Lyon 2 and the renowned French law firm Gide Loyrette Nouel.
- Civil law (civil liability and contracts) - DROIT CIVIL (RESPONSABILITÉ/CONTRATS) (15h)
- Organisation of the judiciary - ORGANISATION JUDICIAIRE (10h)
- Administrative law - DROIT ADMINISTRATIF (15h)
- Commercial law - DROIT COMMERCIAL (15h)
Classes are held on weekends (Friday to Sunday).
Graduates will be awarded a Graduation Diploma of Lazarski University French Law School.
Two best graduates will be offered an internship with the Gide Loyrette Nouel branch in Warsaw.
Curriculum
The first semester will feature the following classes:
- French legal language - FRANÇAIS JURIDIQUE (10h)
- History of French law - HISTOIRE DU DROIT FRANÇAIS (10h)
- Constitutional law - DROIT CONSTITUTIONNEL (15h)
- Sources of French law - SOURCES DU DROIT FRANÇAIS (15h)
The second semester will feature the following classes:
- Civil law (civil liability and contracts) - DROIT CIVIL (RESPONSABILITE/CONTRATS)(15h)
- Organisation of the judiciary - ORGANISATION JUDICIAIRE (10h)
- Administrative law - DROIT ADMINISTRATIF (15h)
- Commercial law - DROIT COMMERCIAL (15h)
Enrolment
Enrolment conditions include:
- filling out the online form,
- submitting documents:
- application for enrolment (download the application here),
- ID copy
- language certificate (B2)
Language competence level
Candidates are required to demonstrate competence in French at the B2 level.
Candidates can present an international certificate or another official document confirming their level of language competence (e.g. a certificate from a language school or from Lazarski University Foreign Language Centre).
Enrolment in the French Law School will close on 15 September 2022.
