On Wednesday, 12 December, international course participants and Lazarski students had an opportunity to get to know Polish Christmas traditions.

First, everyone made Christmas decorations: baubles and chains. The ornaments and greetings written in different languages festooned a Christmas tree, which created a festive mood.

Next, the participants listened to an interesting presentation on Christmas symbols prepared by Polish teachers. Of course, the event would have been incomplete without Christmas carols in Polish, which were sung to the accompaniment of accordion this time.

After Christmas carols in Polish, a student from Venezuela sang one in Spanish. As it is a must at Christmas, everyone could taste pierogi and Christmas Eve cookies. Everyone felt the nice, warm and friendly atmosphere.

The event was organised by the Centre of the Polish Language and Culture.
