We are pleased to announce that the "Economic and Political Thought" quarterly published by the Faculty of Economics and Management was included in the prestigious ERIH index.

The European Reference Index for the Humanities and the Social Sciences (ERIH) was created by the European Science Foundation (ESF) in 2008. initially comprising exclusively humanist journals, in 2014 it was expanded to include journals from the field of social sciences. The purpose of ERIH is to increase the global visibility of research in the area of humanities and social sciences across Europe and simplify access to academic journals published in all European languages. The works on the index are currently being coordinated by the Norwegian Social Science Data Services (NSD).

For an academic journal to be included in the ERIH index, it must meet a number of requirements, including in particular with respect to ensuring the transparency and independence of the factual assessment of respective articles (e.g. through providing external reviewers and appointing an independent academic editorial board). Academic journals featured in the ERIH index are enumerated in the so-called Part C of the index of ranked academic journals of the Polish ministry of Science and Higher Education. We are proud that "Economic and Political Thought" met all the criteria and joined other recognised academic journals from all European countries.

While de iure it has been published since 1 January 2010, the "Economic and Political Thought" quarterly is in fact a continuation of the "Economic and Legal Thought" journal published from 2003 until the end of 2009.

"Economic and Political Thought" serves the purpose of confronting the theories of respective sciences with practice, the exchange of opinions between researchers, experts, teachers, and practitioners (managers, financiers, businessmen, and politicians). It is therefore addressed to a wide group of readers: researchers and experts, politicians, teachers, PhD students and undergraduate students.
