On Friday, 22 November, Dr Urszula Swoboda-Rydz will run a workshop for the teachers of English for medical purposes. The meeting is scheduled to take place from 2.30 pm till 4.00 pm in room no. 12.

Dr Urszula Swoboda-Rydz teaches English for medical purposes at the Medical University of Warsaw  and Lazarski University and has published many foreign language teaching materials.

The workshop will cover the following issues:

  • teaching medical terminology,
  • reading comprehension (literal, between lines, beyond a text),
  • writing and editorial traps,
  • philologist’s role in teaching a foreign language for medical purposes.

The workshop will be conducted in English.
