The Academic Centre: Mission and Tasks

The Academic Centre of Lazarski University and the Institute of Political Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences is an independent academic and research unit founded by the Institute of Political Studies of the Polish Academy of Sciences (PAN) and Lazarski University.
The goals determining the Centre's strategy arise from legal regulations on science and higher education; they are connected with the processes of increasing the quality of academic activity and its transfer to the educational process. The Centre's main tasks include in particular: conducting, supporting and coordinating academic research and improving teaching processes; fostering direct relationships between science, primary research and teaching, as well as improving the quality of education for students field of International Relations and for the participants of postgraduate and doctoral studies; initiating and coordinating the participation of Lazarski University and of the PAN Institute of Political Studies in both domestic and international research programmes; taking initiatives of academic and research nature (academic conferences, seminars and symposiums); supporting the activity and mobility of academic staff; obtaining and managing domestic and international research projects, undertaking expert and consulting activities with regard to issues connected with politics and international relations.
Through achieving established goals and determining specific tasks, the Academic Centre strives to achieve the leading position on the Polish academic and educational market in the field of broadly understood international relations.
